Privacy Policy for GK Quiz: Play Solo or Challenge

This Privacy Policy explains how BrainBrawl (developer of GK Quiz: Play Solo or Challenge, package: com.brainbrawl.quizapp) collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use our app available on Google Play. BrainBrawl is developed by Umang Mehta. We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with applicable laws, including GDPR and CCPA where relevant.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information to provide and improve the app's features like solo play, challenges, leaderboards, and multiplayer quizzes.

Account and Login Data

Email address and display name (via Firebase Authentication) – Used only if you choose to create an account for multiplayer, leaderboards, or saving progress. Solo mode does not require login.

Gameplay Data

Quiz scores, XP, levels, streaks, wins/losses – Collected to track your progress, enable leaderboards, and personalize gameplay.
Saved game progress – Stored locally or in your account for resuming sessions.

Device and Analytics Data

Device information (e.g., type, Android version), crash logs (via Firebase Crashlytics), and anonymous usage events (via Firebase Analytics) – Used to improve app performance, fix bugs, and understand usage patterns. No personal identifiers are linked.

Ads Data

Advertising ID (from Google AdMob) – Used for serving personalized ads, frequency capping, and ad analytics. We do not sell your personal data.

We do not collect sensitive information like location, camera, or contacts unless explicitly requested for a feature (none in this app).

2. How We Use Your Information

Provide app features (e.g., save scores, match players).
Improve the app (e.g., analyze crashes, optimize quizzes).
Personalize ads and content (via AdMob and Analytics).
Respond to support requests or legal requirements.

We do not use your data for any unrelated purposes without consent.

3. How We Share Your Information

Service providers: Firebase (Google) for authentication, analytics, and storage; AdMob for ads. These are bound by strict privacy terms.
Legal: Only if required by law or to protect rights/safety.
No sharing: We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing.

4. Account Deletion

If you created an account, you can request deletion at any time. This will remove your profile, stats, XP, leaderboard info, saved progress, and Firebase account. Email us at developer.umang.mhta@gmail.com with subject “Delete My GK Quiz Account” and include your account email or ID. We process requests within 7 days. Some anonymized logs may be retained for 30 days for fraud/legal purposes.

5. Data Security and Retention

We use reasonable security measures (e.g., encryption via Firebase) to protect your data. Data is retained as needed for app functionality; deleted accounts are removed promptly. You can export your data upon request.

6. Children's Privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy; changes will be posted here with the new effective date.

By using GK Quiz: Play Solo or Challenge, you agree to this policy. For California residents: Rights under CCPA include deletion and opt-out of data sales (we do not sell data).
